Our main purpose at Lanes School of Driving is to provide high quality training to anyone looking for a driving course. All of our instructors are highly qualified, many having originally trained with us to become DSA registered Approved Driving Instructors. If you choose to learn with Lanes you can be happy in the knowledge that we will do our best to help you pass your test and become a safe driver for life.
Weekly or single lesson tuition is still one of the most popular ways to learn to drive and gives you the opportunity to progress at a steady pace, with plenty of time to practice between lessons!

One of Lanes tuition vehicles		We offer single lessons which last approximately 50 minutes, with the same instructor on a one-to-one basis. We know that you will be more relaxed if learning without other pupils in the car, so our training courses always provide personal individual tuition. Your lessons can be taken in a manual or automatic car, all of which are new, fully equipped and dual-controlled. There is also the option of block booking lessons in advance for those of you who like to plan ahead. With a door-to-door service as well, what more could you ask for?

Hire of car for test

Pupil may only use our cars for the test when up to standard. This is strictly at the discretion of your instructor whose decision is final. FEE including Pre Test Lesson from £75.00. Saturday test fees are an additional £20.00. Test fees payable at time of booking with instructor.

Fees and Cancellations

Pupils are encouraged to make payments at least one lesson in advance. Lessons cancelled without at least 48 hours notice must be paid for. Cheques are accepted with a Bankers Card and should be made payable to your instructor with whom it is deemed you have signed a contract to learn to drive. There is a 10% administration charge on any refunds and £4.00 surcharge on credit card payments. Preferred payment method is debit card.
