Lanes School of Driving established in 1914 is one of the largest independent driving schools operating instructor training schemes.

LANES HAS BEEN INVOLVED WITH DRIVING INSTRUCTOR TRAINING FOR OVER TWO DECADES, training men and women from all walks of life to become Driving Standard Agency Approved Driving Instructors. (ADI's)

On completion of a Lane's training course and qualification as an instructor, you will be able to start work as a Lane's franchised instructor, or if you prefer become a completely independent driving instructor. Ask us about our independent instructor car purchase arrangements.

Before you commit to any Instructor Training course we stongly recommend that you attend one of our informal presentations, where we will explain in detail not only the regulations but also how the driver training industry works, how driving instructors earn an income and tax regulations for the self employed.


Lanes School of Driving is ORDIT Registered. Lanes has completed the registration process required by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) to become part of the Official Register of Driving Instructor Training.
